By this, we can monitor and be aware on our teeth condition. If we have regular dental check up then we wouldn’t experience even a single tooth pain. This a best way to take care of our teeth, this post is a good example of what might happen to us if we don’t have a standard dental schedule.dental specialist Singaporehttp://www.smilefocus.com.sg/specialists.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31258447.post-78921609906696523102010-09-13T05:44:28.300-05:002010-09-13T05:44:28.300-05:00When I had my wisdom teeth extracted years ago, I ...When I had my wisdom teeth extracted years ago, I was in a lot of pain after the drugs' effect had worn off (I have a weak tolerance for pain, actually), but the experience was worth it - having something that gives you pain and sleepless nights for a long period of time now gone at last. Months after the operation, there were no signs of mistake nor recurring pain, just as expected from the professional dentist (Charlotte clinic) who did the procedure.Kristenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03443881242378229660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31258447.post-34181192170926544642009-03-02T14:56:00.000-06:002009-03-02T14:56:00.000-06:00Thank you so much for the Honest Scrap award. My mom only ever had one removed, so I just figured that's how I would be. One day, a few years ago, after a week of an aching jaw, one of my wisdom teeth broke through. Not fun to be 25 and teething. So, I went to the dentist, determined that it needed to come out and we'd so the rest as well, and we were set. Until the day before the extraction when I got a call that, surprise, my dental insurance through my parents expired 10 months back. The one tooth had to come out, so we had to pay out of pocket, and the dentist said he was sure the other three weren't going to show up, so I decided to wait on those until I had insurance. A month after the first tooth was pulled, the next one broke through. So, I had to have that one (and at that point the other two as well) pulled, in a seperate outing, again out of pocket. Which wouldn't have been so expensive except I'm a fucking wimp and needed to be put out both times.

My children, should I ever have any, are gettings those bastards pulled in their teens.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31258447.post-26065618683835751812009-02-18T21:36:00.000-06:002009-02-18T21:36:00.000-06:00i have a kid dentist story. ANYWAY, they filled his tooth on one side and when it came time to pull the other, he said, "I'm kind of shy of doing that right now." Needless to say, we got the good drugs to finish at the next appointment. And, it was all good.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18201027076215827085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31258447.post-16231001175871819992009-02-18T16:54:00.000-06:002009-02-18T16:54:00.000-06:00When I found out I had to get my wisdom teeth pull...When I found out I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled I swore of the dentist for 10 years too!

I had to have my wisdom teeth pulled just after my boys were born, I put it off so long that one of them got really nasty!

Good luck!Soralishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10134991337688208295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31258447.post-46195778512141402352009-02-18T10:38:00.000-06:002009-02-18T10:38:00.000-06:00I was like you and hadn't been to the dentist in p...I was like you and hadn't been to the dentist in probably 10 years either. But that was a long time ago. When I was about 20 or so I had to go in, since then I've been really good about going on for cleanings twice a year. Well I haven't been good the last two, I was due to go back in Sept, still need to do that. Anyways, after some xrays years ago it was determined I only had one wisdom tooth. It finally decided to break through about 4 years ago. I HAD to get it pulled the week of Thanksgiving. Totally sucked. Anyways, it had hurt so bad I wasn't able to eat. On an empty stomach it got pulled and I took the antibotic they gave me. Woke up in the middle of the night puking and stressed that puke pieces would get stuck in the hole of where my tooth once was.

There you go.... you asked for it. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31258447.post-30740761926367175662009-02-18T10:27:00.000-06:002009-02-18T10:27:00.000-06:00I am terrified of the dentist. Ugh.

And I hear you about your mother/daughter relationship fear. I am terrified that if we have a girl I won't know how to relate to her in such a way that she won't resent me all of her life. But you're already a great mom to your son, and there is no real reason to fear that you won't adjust that to a daughter!seussgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04000177197075148901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31258447.post-46964940067809074802009-02-18T10:00:00.000-06:002009-02-18T10:00:00.000-06:00First off, I can really relate to number 2. My mot...First off, I can really relate to number 2. My mother and I do not get along and, baring some early up bringing triumphs, I find my mother is NOT a role model for me. However, I actually found that I had confidence in my role--mainly because I think about what she did and do the OPPOSITE. :-) I do think that if you are THINKING about being a good mother, that is very good and you are on your way to maintaining a good relationship.

I also love Indian food--I think I would alternate with Chinese food tho.

OKAY, dental nightmare:

Aside from having braces for 3 years....

Okay, when I first moved 800 miles away from home, we found I still had 2 wisdom teeth and that they impacted. We did not know many docs/dentists, so we found one (I love my dentist) and he recommended an ortho surgeon to take the wisdom teeth out.

We had moved 6 months before, I was unemployed, but I was starting a new job within the week. I went, and as they were putting the gas on, I heard someone say “Oops!” and the next thing I knew—I was having vivid dreams about my new job—anxiety dreams, etc. I was higher than a kite—someone had set the gas to 1.0 instead of .10!!

So, after the procedure, I woke up throwing up! It was not fun at all! After I recovered a bit, my husband drove me home, and I got car sick/sick from the gas—and we stopped and I threw up in front of a car dealership on the road to our apartment. We never went to that ortho surgeon again—and we always looked at that car dealership as my memorial to oral surgery.

P.S. I have since had 2 root canals with the bestest guy in the world (also recommended by my dentist. And they went swimmingly well.

Wishing you a good recovery!Delennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12567889031642608101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31258447.post-70197860485906314942009-02-18T09:49:00.000-06:002009-02-18T09:49:00.000-06:00I had to have a root canal just over a year ago an...I had to have a root canal just over a year ago and I don't think I would have been able to handle it without the sedative. Even then, I was still far too aware of what was going on and was able to feel things I didn't want to. I am glad you got it done and over, though. And if it makes you feel any better, I am an anal retentive dental appointment keeper (literally at my cleaning every 6 months on the nose for the past 10 years) and I still had to have one. Teeth suck.
*hugs*Mazzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16914742489846963185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31258447.post-15010438390625108922009-02-18T09:48:00.000-06:002009-02-18T09:48:00.000-06:00I'm actually pretty good about the Dentist. Altho...I'm actually pretty good about the Dentist. Although I had my wisdom teeth out in college and the experience was HORRIFIC! I only had two to begin with and they were impacted. They were pulled and the pain meds made me black out so I couldn't use them. Then, both "holes" got infected and my entire face swelled up and my jaw locked. I ended up back in the dentist's chair 3 times in a week and had to have these special medication inserts put into the holes from my teeth. I was so squeamish that I couldn't remove the inserts and had to have the campus nurse remove them for me.
It was the worst experience!!! Thank God I don't have anymore wisdom teeth!!

I hope your pain lessens soon!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07859054715459355896noreply@blogger.com
