Many of you have already
seen this, probably, but if you haven't, please go
here and put in your opinion. In brief,
Tyra Banks is
planning on doing a show at some point on women who are "
obsessed with
becoming a mom". I wrote in and asked her if she
would do a show on women who are "
Obsessed with beating cancer". Please go and make you voice heard. This kind of ignorance is why it is so hard to get
insurance companies and our own government to recognize infertility as a legitimate medical condition.

I felt really sick reading that. Is it a joke? This is a message that was sent out through RESOLVE a few days ago: The producers of the Tyra Banks Show are looking for women and men in the New York City area to share their experiences coping with infertility on an upcoming show. They are interested in hearing from both couples and women and men individually on how you've dealt with the emotional ups and downs of infertility and found inspiration to keep trying. The show will be taped on January 10 in New York City. If you're interested in sharing your story, please contact Kimberly Saunders at 646-638-5614 or kimberly.saunders@tyratv.com as soon as possible.
Submitted. Thanks for the link.
I read the same post as The Town Criers. Now i want to scream
OMG! That's appalling.
Thanks for letting us know about this. I just submitted a (large, ranting, raving, yet thoughtfully written, I hope!) piece of my mind. So sickening.
Thank you, I just might leave a rather pointed message myself.
What a biznatch! I can hardly believe what they wrote!
I am sickened and have voiced my disgusted opinion. Thanks for the link.
Thanks for sharing this. When I saw recently that they were looking for people I thought, oh good - a new opportunity for people to learn about this experience. Now, I am just horribly disappointed and disgusted.
Seriously, I too am sickened. While reading that I thought it must be a joke. How cruel, what is wrong woth people, is there no compassion left in the world. I loved your comment about people obsessed with beating cancer. I told a co-worker a similar thing when she told me she would "never consider fertility treatments" even though it took her 2 years to conceive - my answer - "if I had a heart condition I would see a cardiologist!!!" Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
Thank you so much! I just posted a response to them - my response is listed in my blog.
Now thats so infuriating!!! Aaargh. What a 'typical' response to infertility... just adopt?! I wonder if Tyra would feel the same if she struggled to have a baby? "Just move on and get over it now okay... and adopt!" People really take their fertility for granted and think we're like some sort of basket case for wanting what they have so easily. I would love to leave a comment, but being in Aus it doesn't seem to let me. Hope they find this post though. Phew. Now I need a serious de-stress.
